Snow skiing is the major winter sports of the Himachal Pradesh. It is held in many places of the Himachal Pradesh. Manali and Kufri are the famous places for skiing in winter season. Many peoples are come out from the different places for taking part in winter sports in Himachal Pradesh.

About Snow Skiing

Snow skiing is the major sports in Himachal Pradesh. In winter season there are many tourists are come out to Himachal Pradesh for taking participating in the snow skiing sports which is held by Himachal government in different parts of the Himachal Pradesh in every year. Kufri and Manali are the famous places where tourist are comes out for snow skiing. Snow skiing is generally divided in two parts that is alpine and Nordic.

Skiing in Kufri

Kufri is the oldest skiing center of the Himachal Pradesh which attracts the huge number of tourists toward itself. Now it becomes the popular skiing center of the Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the height of 2501 meters from above mean sea level and it is 15kms from state capital Shimla. Mashru peak is the highest peak of the Kufri which allow the tourist to skiing from the top of the hill. Maximum temperature during winter season occurred in Kufri that is 10 degree Celsius to -10 degree Celsius.

Skiing in Manali

Manali is another famous place for snow skiing in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in Kullu district. It is very attractive place of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the height of 2050 meters from above mean sea level. This beautiful hill station is famous for adventures sports lovers. The best skiing slopes place you can find in Manali that is Solang Nala. It is the best destination for the Heli-Skiers.
