Ice skating in Shimla is a real sport and the most thrilling and the interesting one. People across the globe and the local people come here. The wink formation is natural here, since it is very cold here, one can get all the necessary arrangements/gadgets from here and enjoy your sports by competing with others.

Ice-Skating is the most enjoyable and thrilling sports played in Shimla. Its field is set up right their near bus stand of lakkar bazar. Earlier it was only visitors who used to take part in this very sport but the local people have emerged to come up with their thrills to win the championships there. It is a great view to look at them fighting for their trophies and a scenic beauty is too great at the time of winter surrounded by the most glamorous trees covered entirely by snow. This has got the largest rink here, comparing to whole of the India. Here, they don't use freezers to freeze the ice since, this is natural; only thing they do is to spread the water all around and hence get the solid ice all over this rink attracts thousands of people of the globe to come there and enjoy themselves. For the visitors, it's always a great place to role on and gets themselves delighted and it adds much to their journey to the place.

The season of sport here, starts in the starting of the December and goes till end of February, organized by the clubs here. Total, there are four sessions of matches here, twice in the morning and twice in the evening too, rest of the time is used for practicing and smoothening of the ice. Here, one can take membership on the short and long term basis. One can get basic gadgets like skates, cap, kneepads etc. here only and need not to get form elsewhere.

This festival goes every year and attracts many people. not only this , here many colorful programs are organized and thus making your holidays into good memories. Therefore, if you ever come to this very place do visit this wink and enjoy yourself to the fullest.
