International Himalayan Festival is the famous festival of the Kangra district during winter season. It is celebrated in the month of December with great excitement. This festival is organized by Indo-Tibet friend society and also organized by Himachal Tourism Development Department from 1989. This festival is held for two days in Meclodganj from 10 December to 12 December. This festival is an international festival and celebrated with great pomp and show.

This festival is organized for Dalai Lama when he got Noble Peace Prize in 1985. This festival is symbol of peace. During festival days there are many programs are held in night for attract the tourists. Dance is the major program of the festival. Some culture programs are also held in night which is very famous among the people. These culture programs show that the relationship between the India and Tibet. There are many numbers of people that come out from various places to see this festival. This festival creates a peacefully environment during festival. Now this festival becomes a great festival among the people.
