Surprising snowfall in district Kangra, Una & Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh.
The heavy snowfall has paralysed the normal life in many parts of Himachal Pradesh from couple of days as usual. While the snowfall on Saturday 7th of Jan, 2012 morning was unusual for the residents of the lower parts of the state - Shivalik hills comprises district Kangra, Una & Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh where the snowfall was seen after 70 years. Remembrance the shocked residents of popular pilgrimage place "Chintpurni" parts of district Una and adjoining area said that the earlier the snowfall was witnessed in 1942-43, and in fewer areas in 1960. While Nurpur in Kangra Velly as well adjoining parts of Chamba district include Kangra town the snowfall is seen after 45 years.
This surprising snowfall heavy to moderate in district Kangra, Una & Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh is very excited for the residents of the area like Kangra, Shahpur, Nurpur, Jawali, Dehra, Jawalaji, Hamirpur, Kotla, Zourbar, Dharamsala – Mahantan, Doultpur-chowk, Chintpurni and adjoining area.
