One more year added to the splendid existence of Mr. Virbhadra Singh

Mr. Virbhadra Singh completed 78 glorious years of his life on 23rd June, 2012. A huge celebration was held in the ice skating rink of Shimla to make this occasion a memorable one for the former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and to celebrate 50 years of his inspirational political career as well.

Mr. Virbhadra Singh , the five times Chief Minister of the state of Himachal Pradesh, a member of the house of the people, member of the Indian National Congress, the former steel Minister and presently the Minister of micro, small and medium enterprises of India, turned 78 on the 23rd of June , 2012.He also completed 50 years of his political career in 2012.
A life-size celebration was organized by the party members in order to celebrate this occasion. This party surely proved to be an utter display of strength and power by the former C.M. which forced the opposition parties to re-analyze their status in the politics of Himachal. Even after not winning the Municipal corporation elections in Shimla Mr. Virbhadra Singh never seems to have lost the support , respect and confidence of the mass residing in the capital city of Himachal that is Shimla. This fact was evident when thousands of people turned up to celebrate his 78th anniversary on 23rd of June, 2012. This celebration was held in the famous ice skating rink of Shimla. This exhibit of influence and supremacy not only alarmed the opposition , but also diluted the spirits of other competitors within the party.
All party members except Mr. Kaul Singh Thakur and Mr. G.S. Bali were present to grace this occasion and congratulate Mr. Virbhadra Singh for his prolific and stimulating journey of life as a person and a politician.
Mr. Virbhadra Singh and other party members seemed a bit disappointed for not being able or shall we say 'not allowed' to host the celebration on the Ridge of Shimla. Mr. Virbhadra Singh stated that if Mr. Dhumal, the current C.M. of Himachal Pradesh, could be permitted to host the oath taking ceremony and other religious groups could be permitted to host their programs on the Ridge , then why the 5 times C.M. of Himachal Pradesh was not allowed.
Regardless of all the anomalous happenings that are eminent in the life of a politician, Mr. Virbhadra Singh's position in the hearts of the people of Himachal never seems to have weakend.
