Paragliding International Championship is hosted in the Bir and Billing Located in District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh in India.Paragliding International Championship is from 25th October to 1st November 2012 in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India.
Billing is the take-off site and Bir is landing site.Road distance between Bir and Billing is 14 km. Bir and Billing is surrounded by Dhauladhar hills.Himachal Pradesh is conducting Paragliding Pre World Cup of International level every year since 2002 at Bir-Billing.The world record of 132.5 km for out and return paragliding was set at Bir-Billing by a Frenchman Xavier Redmond
Department of Youth Services & Sports intends to organize Paragliding International Championship Bir-Billing India-2012 and
Himalayan National Paragliding Championship Bir-Billing-2012.
1.) Foreign Pilots:-
International pilot proficiency instrument of level three or equivalent National.
2.) Indian Pilots:-
Any pilot having/ exhibiting capabilities of doing 35 Kms & knowing all collision avoidance air Traffic rules.
Each competitor shall hold a Valid FAI sporting license issued by his own NAC.
For Foreigner Participants=100 US $ Dollars.
For Indian Participants=1000/-
The pilots will submit the registration forms with all details before 22nd of October, 2012.
