But in this article we are talking about the Bhuri Singh Museum which is located in the middle of the Chamba city. History of this Museum
This museum was built by the Local raja of Chamba district in the 18th century and the name of the raja was Bhuri Singh that's why this is so called Bhuri Singh museum. As you know museum is a place where our past cultural things are kept safe and are shown to the people or our next generation. So in this museum there are so many things are placed which is used by the Raja. In it there are also photo galleries in which all the photo of the entire Raja and their queens are shown in the photo. On the other the jewelry and the clothes are shown which wear the Raja. There are also shown the weapons which are used by them during the war. This all things are first placed in the old museum but now the government has made a new museum and all the things are shifted to it. So when you are going to visit this place then there are entering fees and it is RS25 for the Indian visitors and Rs50 for the Foreign visitor and this all fees are used in the development of the museum.
How to reach this place
As this museum is situated in the Chamba district, and it is in main market on the hospital road and located at the corner of the last ground, also you can reach Chamba by bus, rail or aero plane. Distances of Chamba from various places are given below, from Shimla it is about 400 km, from Chandigarh it is about 320 km, from national capital Delhi it is about 600 km and from Manali it is about 390km. You can reach there by train and the nearest railway station in the pathankot from where it is about 90 k and you can also come to this place by aero plane and the nearest airport is in Gaggal airport from where it is about 100 km. Apart from this museum there are so many places for the wondering so if you are thinking to visit this place then must visit this museum by which you can know the culture of Chamba.
