History of Ram Sita Ji temple
This temple is one of the oldest temple in Chamba district which is built during 17th or in the beginning of the 18th century by the local king of Chamba. The architecture of the temple is so good and its roof is made of slates. The temple is made in square shape, and in this temple there is only one room are made inside this room there are three statues are placed, in the middle Lord Ram is standing, on the right side Sita is standing and on the left side Statue of Laxman is standing. In the front of this temple there is a big tree where a small statue of Lord Hanuman is placed, around this tree there are so many benches are placed for the sitting. And on the left side of the temple there is store house of the temple in which the so many things are placed and there is a small ground where all the functions are being takes place. This temple is totally made of the stone.
How to reach this templeand nearby places
This temple is situated in the Chamba district; it is about 300 meter from the local bus stand of the Chamba. You can reach Chamba by bus and taxi, after that you have to go to the Chowgan and after that that you have to go to the Rang mahal side and on the right side of the Rang Mahal this temple is situated, and when you reach the temple there is about 10 to 15 stairs for the temple and you at last you reached the temple. You can also reach this place by train and the nearest railway station is in the Pathankot from where it is about 80km and you can also reach this place by aero plane and the nearest airport is in Gaggal, Kangra from where it is about 75 km. Around this temple there are so many places for the wondering like Rang mahal, Lakhami Narayan temple and Chamba Chowgan. The best season to visit this temple is in summer.
