Wooden Houses in this village
Firstly this village came into existence about 400 years ago, during that time in this village there is about only two or three houses are present but nowadays there is about 20 to 25 houses are present in which about 100 people lives. This village is basically famous for the wooden hoses whose design is so beautiful. The people of these areas firstly cut the trees of deodar and then dry it. After that they cut tree into small pieces which is now ready for the use, then they made design on them. In these houses there is about 80% wood is used and remaining stone are used for the base. The roof of these houses are made in V shape which is covered with slate, the main reason behind it is because during winter there is heavy snowfall and all the roof are covered with snow so if these are not in V shape then they feel cold during the night but when these are in V shape then snow does not stay for the long time. But nowadays country is developing the style of houses are changed there is only few houses are present in which wood and design are made also now roof are also not made in V shape.
Temples in this village
In this village there is only two main temples are present. There is a Chaund Mata temple in the middle of this village which is under the wooden house and this temple is the main reason for the existence of this village. In this temple every year there is function in which all the villagers are present. Apart from it there is Shiv Ling and temple of Nag Raj which is about 100 meter from this village. In this temple there is every year function held in the month of the August or September, in which people from different villages came to this function.
How to reach this village
This village is about 15 km from the Chamba district on the Khajjiar road; you can reach this place by bus or taxi. In winter there is heavy snowfall so summer is the best time to visit this place.
