Smoke detectors to be used by Himachal Pradesh Police: report

Smoke Meter for the Inspection of the pollution of vehicle


The environment pollution control department of District Chamba and Una have taken some serious steps for reducing the pollution, so that environment pollution can be controlled. For this they are providing smoke meter for the traffic police to check the amount of the pollution in the vehicle and if amount of pollution emitted by the vehicle is more than threshold, it may be banned or they will have to add further hardware's to reduce the amount of pollution.
Smoke Meter in Chamba District
Chamba district has provided a Smoke meter to the traffic police which check the amount of the pollution of the vehicle. If the smoke detector reads more than 65% on its indicator then the amount of pollution emitted by this vehicle is dangerous to the environment, and after that the suspected vehicle owner will have to reduce the pollution. He/she can do it by visiting the service center otherwise it will be taken by the traffic police and may be some fined may charge.
Sandeep Kumar said that amount of hydrocarbons in vehicle is only sufficient and if it reaches the level greater than 65% than it is dangerous to the environment as well as human being, for this purpose Chamba district is the first district which is going to use Smoke Meter to check the amount pollution in next week. In the beginning of next week this machine is handed to the Traffic police and which will definitely reduce the amount of pollution in the coming year.
Use of Smoke Meter in Una
After Chamba district this time it is Una that uses Smoke meter to check the pollution or amount of pollution in the exhausted gases of the vehicle. Use of this high end meter will start from the next month. This machine will definitely reduce the amount of pollution in the air in coming year in the Himachal Pradesh.
