RBS Cricket Memorial Cup Competition form 26th October in Chamba
Rajkumar Brijendra Singh Cricket Memorial Cup Competition will begin from 26th October in the Chamba district. Firstly this competition will be started from 20th October but due to some reason the date of this has been postponed and will begin form the 26th October 2013 in the historical ground of the Chamba district.
This competition was started in the month of October every year in which so many teams across the different district participated. Last year there are about 30 to 35 teams across the different district of the state were participated in this event. The organizing secretary of the competition said that this year numbers of teams will be increased as compared to the last year.
Winner of the Cup
The organizing Secretary of the memorial cup said while addressing to the media that the winner team of the competition will be awarded with cash prize of RS 51000 and loser team of the final will be awarded with cash prize of RS 21000. The teams who will lose in the semifinal will be awarded with RS 10000 each and the team who will lose their match in the quarter final round will be awarded with cash prize of RS 3000 each team.
This competition will be beginning from 26th October in the historical ground of the Chamba district. The match were played on police ground and historical ground. This competition will continue for one month in which so many match were played and final match was played on 26th November in the historical ground and on the same day closing ceremony will be held in which prize are given to the top eight teams by the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
The Secretary Rajeev Sehgal said that it is god opportunities for the youth of the state to show their talent in the cricket. In state such type of competition are held in the different district to encourage the youth in the sports and keep away the youth from drugs, which most of the young generation are addicted more towards drugs. The main motive of organizing such competition in the state to provide platform for the youth of the state in sports.
