History of MadhoRao Place
MadhoRao place is situated in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh which is popular for the temple in which International Shiv Ratri festival was celebrated every year. Apart from it this place is also popular for the Holi celebration. The peoples of this place said that this festival was celebrated firstly by the Local King of Mandi in the 17th century after that it was celebrated every year. This festival was celebrated every year in the month of March and will continues for the next two days in which peoples celebrates with throwing different color and water on each other wishes Happy Holi to each other. When this festival is celebrated then everything look colorful and look like a special cartoons and you don't stop yourself to enjoy this festival with each other. So most of the peoples who visit this place always enjoy the festival with great enthusiasm and want to visits next time again.
In the opening ceremony of the festival which was celebrated on the Sunday, firstly peoples worship the God in the MadhoRao temple situated in the Raj Mahal and after that they throw color on each other. After the completion of Worship, the idol of the MadhoRao was taken to the market and peoples play Holi with each in behind of this.
On this occasion NIIT has also arrangement the DJ programs on the Seri Platforms on which so many peoples dances with great enthusiasm and department of police has also done the good arrangement for the security purposes.
On this occasion also government officers as well as local minister of the state will also visits and play Holi and wishes Happy Holi to each other.

Then visits either in the month of March when you can enjoy the Holi festival or visits in the February Month when you can enjoy the International Shiv Ratri festival. This place is totally connected with other part of the state by National Highway where you can easily reach this place by bus as well taxi from the all part of state. There are so many buses are available for this from the Shimla, Chandigarh, and Delhi and from other places. You can also reach this place by aero plane and the nearest airport is in Bhuntar from where this place is about 100KM.
